It's been a while since I've heard anything from Bronx-born rapper Mickey Factz but from I hear he has been hard at work on his debut album ever since he signed with Battery Records back in 2010. Rumor is, things are finally put in motion, and he has just let out a new, free mixtape for fans while they wait. Mickey Mause is a pseudo character created by the RCA artist thrown into the 1980s as a graffiti writer who was among the stars of that decade: Keith Haring, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Kenny Scharf, Fab Five Freddy, then mentor Andy Warhol, etc. The project consists of 17 songs all produced by Factz, containing sampling from Dangermouse and Deadmau5. I don’t know if his new beard is to blame or what, but he was definitely in some sort of distant realm when producing this masterpiece. Also Check our exclusive interview with the man himself.
