The young Canuck Charlie Darker has been on a musical rampage over the past few months with four to the floor tracks like “Vader” and “Deadroll” making there way around the blogosphere and Hypem charts. This time, Charlie gets the nod from the legend and man- about town Diplo. The Toronto-native was handpicked by the Mad Decent boss to remix “Make You Pop”, the infamous cross-over collaboration with Don Diablo that’s been used in recent Blackberry advertising campaigns.
Slowed to 112 BPM, Darker’s remix brings out a rougher edge to the track, shaping it for the moshpit of the contemporary rave. With less bleeps and blops, Darker accentuates the tribal buildup, preparing the listener for a distortion-heavy drop.
