As an artist it must be challenging coming from a musical family like The Jacksons and being the nephew of the late Great King of Pop, however if you listen to the music of Austin Brown you would never suspect the guy was even remotely fazed by the pressure put on him due to his musical lineage and the frequent comparisons to his uncle Michael Jackson. The 26-year-old Los Angeles resident's music appears to channel the spirit of vintage 70s/80s R&B and more specifically Michael Jackson's early sound (e.g. "Rock With You" and "Working Day And Night"). Brown's latest audio offering from his "Music Monday" series, "Time For Flight," features an ear catching sample of Gil Scott-Heron's "The Bottle" which drives the contagious liberating vibe of the dance track. Check out two tracks from Brown that are sure to help make that transition from the doldrums of winter into the warm sun-filled days of spring a bit easier.
