There are thousands of popular artists out there today making new singles all the time. With the increase of bedroom producers, though, the ability to simply download a whole studio that you can use right on your lap has made original songs more scarce. Now it seems that you're finding tens of thousands of remixes by artists with more and more ludicrous names, leaving you wondering, "Transexual Viking Sword Bro- what?" This weekly segment will bring you the popular remixes and the never heard of "Transexual Viking Sword Brothers" remixes of a (common) artist's singles. From all these bedroom producers we are seeing one thing, and that is absolutely fantastic, manipulated, warped remixes.
Lana Del Rey is exploding all over the internet right now. Her hit singles "Blue Jeans" and "Video Games" have been getting blog love from everywhere. Her deep passionate vocals and a dreamy melody are two combinations we've seen before; Adele's popularity really started the same way. The idea of Lana Del Rey for Artist Remixed has always been floating around in my mind, and it was not till recently that I decided I could find enough remixes to compile a full list of genres. Unfortunately, there were only 4 source songs that I found remixes of. In time to come I might make a part 2 if remixes keep pumping out of bedroom producers inventory. Until then though I tried to only feature the best of the best so enjoy and share!
POPULAR REMIXES
There was really two remixes that stuck out as the most popular remixes of Lana Del Rey. The first is Balam Acab's dreamy acid remix that takes the vocals and makes it flow ever so smoothly. The other remix that was hugely popular is PatrickReza'sfilthy static-step remix. One of the best dubstep remixes in my opinion. Enjoy.

DUBSTEP REMIXES
The dubstep remixes this week are diverse in sound and filth. Frost's energetic remix slaughters Lana's vocals with more grime then what's under your shower drain. Aurora's remix on the other hand starts off a lot smoother and slowly builds up to the drop where we're brought down again; Aurora's remix reminds me a lot of Nero with his symphony sound . Roo Beats remix starts off slow but at the drop we get more bass than we could ask for where the vocals are edited and thrown in the mix. Joan of ART's remix starts off with a high energy intro companied by Lana's singing which turns into a heavier version of the original. Count Ninjula's remix was another very popular remix and for good reason; the slow start is misleading as to what's going to come. We're built up with just the right amount of suspense where it drops with a break and pause structure. Tommy Noble just came out with a amazing energetic remix of "Diet Mtn Dew" which starts off slow but quickly takes you into a fast pace hellish side. My favourite dubstep remix though would have to be Gemini's remix since we're built so slowly up with such suspense but when it drops it completely changes the original becoming a catastrophic [dubstep] nightmare. Enjoy.

DRUM AND BASS REMIXES
In my search to find Lana Del Rey remixes I came across a few Drum and Bass remixes that are defiantly worthy of a mention. The first remix by Lucid Rhythms starts off very slow but throughout the beginning but quickly picks up until the drop where you find your typical fast bpm. Ashes remix begins similar to Lucid Rhythms remix with a slow beginning but picks up the speed a lot faster taking you quickly to the drop where Ashes uses a mix of Lana's vocals with a fast pace to create a brilliant piece of work. Enjoy.
WITCH HOUSE REMIXES
I'm not typically a fan of Witch House but since Earmilk author Croydon has recently been head over heels for the genre I included this remix to further open people's minds to the unique sound. Moskva's remix takes the vocals and warps and fades them in and out making them sound tainted. Layered with a eerie beat and a ghostly static this remix is a interesting spin on the original "Blue Jeans". Enjoy.
CHILL OUT REMIXES
The Chill Out remixes I found simply re-enforced my belief at how a smooth beat matched with Lana's vocals can create a perfect soundscape. Diminuative's remix is slow and dreamy while Jamie Woon's remix is more beat orientated but still relaxing with edited vocals. Clams Casino works his usual magic again making a dreamscape remix that is slow with a deep bass-kick and a washing synth that floats over you. my favourite chill out remix though would have to be Somni's remix since the vocals are hardly recognizable yet keeps the peaceful nature of the original "Born to Die" leaving a chillwave impression. Enjoy.
ELECTRO REMIXES
The Electro remixes were a mix of funky disco to heavy synths tearing away at your speakers. Penguin Prisons remix takes the funkier route with a smooth disco remix layered with a nice beat. Cazzette is no new name to Electro House and seeing a remix by him I had high hopes, I think I had too high of hopes since the remix is alright, a heavy kick with Lana's vocals takes you right up too the heavy electro where it's at a less than usual hectic speed than Cazzette's typical work. Club Clique's remix is more of a disco remix with a nice kick build up to the drop where the melody is changed up. Baers remix of "Video Games" gets my highlights for Electro remixes with a smooth chopped and screwed version of Lana's vocals until the mid point where Baers change everything up with a funky electro spin. Enjoy.

FUTURE BASS REMIXES
These two remixes we're really hard to put in any category since they're both very chill yet there is still a deep bass that can kick harder than any of the 'Dubstep' remixes. I've decided to label them 'Future Bass Remixes' since it has all the bass you could want yet not filthy but more a mix of Bass and Chill. Die Amount's remix starts with a creepy recorded vocal and comes in with Lana Del Rey's vocals and a shaking bass. Vitamin Beats remix starts with a groovier intro but quickly adds the bass after toying with Lana Del Rey's vocals. Enjoy.
OVERALL FAVOURITE REMIX
This week my favourite remix was by AlunaGeorge so great work AlunaGeroge first of all. As stated before this Artist Remixeds main highlights have been more on the 'chiller' side compared to the usual dubstep or electro highlights. Lana Del Rey's smooth voice seems to work so perfectly with a smooth base line and a eerie synth. AlunaGeorge is the perfection of this idea, the duo from London, Britain add a creepy base line mixed with funky acid houses. With a groovy 'Crystal Castles' style synth break-down halfway through and different layers to Lana Del Rey's vocals this remix easily takes my overall favourite. A real treat! Enjoy.
