SCNTST – Monday

Techno's child prodigy, latest acquisition SCNTST will be seeing his first full length debut on the BNR stage November 7th with an EP titled Monday. A start to a new week paralleled in the ushering of his fresh tenor to a genre he likes to call "Advanced Techno". Right off the bat his sound is all over the board and like no other. A suit of dissonant orchestras employing rapid Roland juke rhythms while omniscient bells and pads loom overneath. A experimental palette prodding at your tasteful insecurities, it can be tough to swallow at first. So hold on to the humble influences as he tips his hat to Lone in "909 Time" and Strip Steve & Das Glow in the A-track "Monday".

At 17 years old it's natural to be skeptical whether or not SCNTST is ripe enough to be picked into the BNR basket. What sold me onto this Munich newborn was the B-side "Beachboy", a German juke roller coaster climbing in tension and releasing into a roll of 808 cowbells. Pitched vocal chops reveal a ghetto varnish to an industrial Cold War approach, a staple to his ingenuity.

SCNTST is an exemplar in proving that being original and creative will get you noticed. In a world plagued by blog house producers making bland attempts at replicating the Beatport Top 10, audio anarchists like SCNTST stand out to push the status quo and shift the new alternative. Mark the date November 7th and follow below so you can bear witness to this electric golden boy in the making.
