Night Rumours – Week 1

Night Rumours – It's what keeps you up at night. From the basement to the bright lights – you're here today because you love dance music and want a little more wamp. Hitting Electro, EDM, Techno and back — every week, Amperror (aka electblake) will bring you the next wave of floor burners. It's not a sundae, it's a massacre.

Ok – here we are. After 79 weeks of electro driving the seat we find ourselves in a different nation. A new world in which electro has blossomed and sown it's aggro synth-lines into what is modernly known as house & techno.

If you're new to this feature, be sure to check out the Suicide Sundaes — they are the tallest free-standing structure dedicated to electro, and the Night Rumours is the step that follows, which guides us closer to the main-stage.

Why "Night Rumours"? For one, it's what we all fear and crave to be a part of. It's also a full on homage to my friend and OG dance contributor for EARMILK.com – Lukas aka theduke. He originally possessed this fabled name for his own musical musing but after his immigration to Earmilk the name found it's way into storage. Today, you bear witness to its revival in a feature in which I attempt to capture what I love about late night lashes.

With a subtle balance of new and old releases, classic and progressive, this inaugural week is of truly historic proportions as it features classics from Proxy, Foamo, Jack Beats, and of course Boys Noize.

As I continue this feature you will come to understand my full plan but until then – please enjoy some of my favourites that rose to the top such as the pop glory of Joywave, the true-blue electro riot The Adamski Kid remix by The Art, and most importantly, you MUST listen to Myam Myam, who's blend of deep house, techno & electro makes me believe that we have a future and that everyone is going to be alright (and violent)

Thank you for sticking around, let's start another mission – Night Rumours.
