Mashup Monday - We're going to melt you faces off with enough mashed up music to make you wanna slap yo' mama. itstk will be bringing you the dopest dope in the mashup world. We've been scouring the music lands, and filing through tracks that you enthusiastic readers and musicians have sent us. We've found mashups from DJ's far and wide. We've found down-tempo ones. We've found super fast and beaty ones. Short ones and long ones. Ones that you wanna sit back and enjoy, and ones that will make you want to rage all over a dance floor. We think we've done our part. Let's get s-mashed.
So just got back from Austin and to start.. that city is fucking phenomenal and I'm stoked to soon be apart of it. Although I didn't get laid in Austin I did however eat at about 20 food trucks and each one felt like a separate sexual encounter, shoutout to the Odd Duck and Torchy Tacos. Anyways, this week I'm honored to premiere tracks from the new collab duo Kap Slap and 3lau, easily 2 of the most amazing new up and coming mash artists out. Also finally some new new from The Hood Internet, the mighty Wick-it dropped a new track along with DJ Fergie Ferg, Basic Physics, DJ Bahler and DOSVEC.

Mashups are like the meatloaf and potatot dinner of the electronica world. Totally uninspired, but I'll eat it if I have to.
You guys have such high-quality content otherwise, I with you'd let mashups die like they should.

I agree with Anon regarding most mashups one finds. But these are solid. They take tracks that don't really frequent other mashups or they just absolutely slay it. All in all, I find earmilk mashups to be the only ones I truly enjoy, because they represent a new, good type of music.
Earmilk is one of the few blogs that can consistently deliver supreme mashup content, and because of that, I wholeheartedly support Mashup Monday.
How on earth does anon think that DJ Bahler's "Love Me" is uninspired? Or even the Nujabes one.

As a mashup fan, i thought i had to share my day discovery with you. The guy is named Cee-Roo and in my opinion, he's doing quite amazing things. Most of his work is available to listen on youtube.

With respect to your perspective, I agree that many songs are overused in mashups. However, mashups take just as much creativity and technical skill as any other type of musical mixing. Don't knock it's merit just because you don't care for it.
