The Club (House Music) – Week 05

Welcome to THE CLUB. A weekly dose of your favourite progressive house, electro house, deep house, tech house, minimal.. Each week I'll bring you a selection of anything from heavy bangers that make the dance floor jump, to those chilled out deep vibes that just make you move. I'll feature an emerging artist or two that catches my eye more than most, so make sure to keep your eye out for weekly servings of the biggest and best names in house music worldwide.

This week I will be introducing two new genres to THE CLUB. Each and every friday evening you can look forward to the best in progressive house, deep house, and from now on, tech house and house.

TECH HOUSE

The tech house sound comes out of a deep house origin with minimal elements mixed in. The genre takes the simplicity found in techno and invigorates it with the house vibes to keep the dance floor bumpin. For this week I've got a Philip Bader remix of a track from Brian Benson & Michael Gull, which features (I'm assuming), 23 children singing Smashing Pumpkins' "Landslide". I've also got a few Deadmau5 remixes of "Raise Your Weapon", including the Stimming remix for your tech set. Make sure to also check out the newest from Mario Takov, Redondo, Slok, Tony Kairom, and Toucan.

HOUSE

As easy as it would seem to create a genre section entitled HOUSE on a house music feature, the truth is that it's probably the most difficult one because every genre is present in the "house" sound. It takes elements from deep, electro, progressive, minimal, techno, trance and fuses it together to get something that is club-friendly and for the most part, is made to make you get up and dance. Here for you this week I've got a Koen Groeneveld remix for Christian Cambas vs. PHNTM, a D-Nox & Beckers track featuring MYGOD, and another "Raise Your Weapon", to name just a few.

Tiesto makes an appearance, and EDX is back at it again. Make sure to check out all of these as each and every one is a pure club gem.
