Welcome to THE CLUB. A weekly dose of your favourite progressive house, electro house, deep house, tech house, minimal.. Each week I'll bring you a selection of anything from heavy bangers that make the dance floor jump, to those chilled out deep vibes that just make you move. I'll feature an emerging artist or two that catches my eye more than most, so make sure to keep your eye out for weekly servings of the biggest and best names in house music worldwide.
While reading why don't you listen to a Midknight mix we created of the feature. You can take a look at the track listing on soundcloud and be sure to "Like" our facebook page and follow me on twitter for daily posts and sneak peaks at tracks to be featured on upcoming instalments of THE CLUB.
DEEP HOUSE
Featured Artist:
The first featured artist on this week's version of THE CLUB is Vincenzo with his latest album entitled "Wherever I Lay My Head". A child of the the Acid House explosion, Vincenzo has been casting his deep and unique takes on House and Techno for over a decade. He broke out as a DJ in Hamburg and went on to release his first solo tracks in 1997. He has gone on to play shows globally and continues to do so, all while producing some of the finest stripped down funky Deep House I've heard. Make sure you buy the album if you like these few tracks.
I've also got some brand new deep grooves from the likes of Nick Warren, Harry Hearing, and Redondo. David August does a vocal remix for DJ Phono and Ecoute drops a new EP. It was a good week. And this is just the beginning..
PROGRESSIVE HOUSE
Featured Artist:
Bastian Van Shield first popped up on the scene in 2008 and it seems like every track I come across is better than the last. He recently remixed the Peter Gelderblom track featuring the Red Hot Chili Peppers, which I don't think will ever leave my setlist. His latest track entitled "You're Not Alone", features some limited vocals and groovy basslines, and it seems like he is really starting to expand his sound. If your a fan, make sure to check him out on Beatport and support one of my favourite emerging producers.
This week I've got some massive tracks that are sure to become summer anthems. Take note of the brand new Martin Solveig track featuring Bloc Party's frontman Kele. He provides some awesome vocals and the Hardwell remix is definitely a dancefloor killer. I've also got here for you two Depeche Mode remixes from the Swede Eric Prydz. Make sure to check out the Lady Gaga remix and a brand new track from the always entertaining Robbie Rivera, as well as a great spin on a Moby original from Eddie Thoneick.
if you love the music like I do, make sure you support the artists and purchase the music at a music outlet such as Beatport or similar!
