Come one. Come all. Come listen to this gold that I just got my hands on. This is Free the Robots. Think Flying Lotus or Gaslamp Killer. Just as ill. I just got his new album, "CTRL+ALT+DELETE", and it makes that shit bump to say the least. This new album is coming out on Alpha-Pup, who just put out the new Daedelus album, as well as the new Ras G. He's out on tour with Daedelus at the moment. I want to see that tour so bad. Get buck. He also had some sick promo videos for the album, so I'm going to post those too after the jump if you're interested. This dude just has an unreal amount of sick extra content, on top of all the insane music. Oh, and he owns a bar. Check out the last video, very inspiring if your a musician.
Free the Robots is Chris Alfaro. The genre-defying artist pulls together heavy doses of traditional jazz, psych, electronic and hip-hop, with progressive melodies and devastating drums into a rich pot of sound. His techniques create harmony between genres with the blending of obscure samples with analog and digital compositions. He's also shared the stage with the always sick likes of Glitch Mob, Prefuse 73, and even Afrika Bambaataa.
Enjoy.
