First let me start off by saying this – I know that tropical house has gotten way over hyped. I know that summer is gone, and the last thing we want to be reminded of is the fact that we can’t be practically naked on the beach writhing about like Neanderthals praising the sun Gods.
With that said, this Evan Gartner remix of “Kanye” by The Chainsmokers is one that you need to hear now. At first, Gartner effortlessly blends Sirens' anthemic vocals of a monotonous music bed moving less than Rosie O’Donnell on an elliptical, and it sounds like any run of the mill tropical house track. However, some truly magical shit occurs around the 3:45 mark that makes us stop to think, “Damn, okay Do you, do you real good.”
I won’t ruin the surprise, but I implore you to press play, and stop reading the pessimistic ramblings from a journalist salty that winter is on it’s way.
