Anthony Gonzalez from M83 is no stranger to composing music for movies. Recently, he has scored his brother’s full-length film You And The Night and he has written music for Tom Cruise’s popcorn flick Oblivion. Now, Gonzalez has contributed a song to the motion picture soundtrack for the movie Divergent.
The track “I Need You” is a chilling, atmospheric experience. The song brings back memories of Science Fiction films from the 1980's. There is even a saxophone solo, which has become a trademark sound for M83. The soundtrack for Divergent is loaded with A-list musicians such as Woodkid, A$AP Rocky, Ellie Goulding and many more. The Divergent soundtrack will be available for purchase on March 11th, and the movie will be released on March 21st.
