This past weekend, the event collaboration of a lifetime was announced by some big names in the electronic music game. With brands, curators, event holders and musicians alike working together, the underground's broadcasting portal Boiler Room announced they've teamed up with favorite partner Ray-Ban on a weekend-long event to take place this November. On November 4-6th, 2016, the brands will take over Split Rock Resort in Lake Harmony, Pennsylvania for a unique getaway experience and performances. The resort is a longtime holiday getaway for those heading to the Pocono Mountains – a trend starting as early as the 1950's – and the retro setting will be an interesting backdrop for the tastemaking underground performances we normally see from Ray Ban x Boiler Room events.
The players throughout the weekend are a combination of New York City and Philadelphia staples, including NYC's party series FIXED x JDH, WRECKEDnyc, Tiki Disco, underground techno series Subliminate, Philly's party Making Time, the woman-powered label and agency Discwoman, and Brooklyn label RVNG Intl. The list goes on, and will bring artists Soulection, Virgil Abloh and others along to curate the weekend filled with day parties at the indoor pool, after parties and an intimate setting.
As with other Boiler Room events, tickets take a little bit of effort to come by. Limited tickets are available via the event's website, and codes to unlock access to tickets will be distributed in the coming weeks ahead of the event by selected curators.
