Last night, music industry leaders gathered in a swanky TriBeCa rooftop space for a launch party for Shazam's latest venture. Though attendees didn't know what they were in for, they quickly learned that the music search app that reaches over 20 million users each day would be embarking on a new, more interactive platform for users. Starting today, users can now follow over 30 of the app's most popular artists to see what's influencing them every day. Users will see into artists music tastes as they grow, as well as their influences as they explore new ideas throughout their own music. Features include:

  • Personal Music Home – The Shazam home will now reveal new Shazams from artists you follow. Like what you see? Tap “Like” to give feedback directly to the artist.
  • Follow / Un-follow – Fans can now choose new artists to follow or artists they’d prefer to stop following by going to My Shazam.
  • Artist Pages – Artists now have a new home on Shazam. Each artist has a page with their Shazam discoveries, top tracks on Shazam, music videos, and more. Artist pages also reveal the number of followers each artist has.
  • Shazam Counts – For the very first time, Shazam is revealing the number of times each track has been Shazamed.
