This Saturday, June 28th, two renowned artists from the dance music world will take the stage at Exchange LA for a must-see show.
Chicago born producer/DJ Curtis Alan Jones, aka Green Velvet, will be spinning his experimental, 80's influenced electronic funk. Appearing under a variety of different names for his remixing projects, under the Green Velvet moniker, Jones first released "Preacher Man", followed by "Flash", and "The Stalker" in the mid-1990's, all of which earned him musical recognition. In subsequent years, he has performed at noteworthy clubs and festivals worldwide, and had numerous releases on his own Relief label, as well as Electric Playground podcasts. British house music heavyweight Julio Bashmore will perform alongside Green Velvet in what promises to be an epic show. Bashmore's interest in dance music began after he first heard Daft Punk's classic, "Da Funk". Gravitating towards the bass-heavy sounds of Claude von Stroke's Dirtybird, he was quickly signed by the label, and his addictive brand of house music has since made him a fixture in the dance music world, as exemplified by the success of his recent release "Peppermint". These two house music dynamos will be joined by David "DAVI" Khanjian. Praised as "LA's best kept secret", DAVI has earned the support of such notable producers as Jody Wisternoff and Robert Babicz, and released tracks on labels as Outside The Box, Anjunadeep, and Crosstown Rebels, including a remix for Russ Yallop's "The Journey".
