DJ Shadow and Cut Chemist are joining forces to celebrate the legendary hip-hop pioneer Afrika Bambaataa on tour this fall. Shadow and Chemist will be performing only with vinyl from Bambaataa's historic record collection. “This has never been done before, definitely not on this scale" says DJ Shadow. "They’re HIS records, with his blessings. This isn’t just ANY copy of ‘X’ breakbeat, it’s THE copy, THE copy that started everything. Not just any records, the MASTER OF RECORDS' records.”

The tour opens up in Toronto and makes stops in New York City, Boston, Philadelphia, and many other major cities along the way. There will be six turntables used at their performances, along with unique real-time effects. One thing is for sure, their show is sure to be an amazing experience you don't want to miss. Afrika Bambaataa himself puts it best by saying, “DJ Shadow and Cut Chemist are going to blow your funky mind.” Check out the upcoming tour dates below.
