The opening of 80s Stallone's “Comeback” is like headlights cutting through fog. The horns and synth come into focus, and the snare closes in, staying just out of reach. It isn’t until you’ve all the pieces together that the horns start to do their best talking. It isn’t until then that you realize what you’re hearing. It’s the underdog in you coming out. It’s 80s Stallone channeling every montage where the guy gets the girl, the robot becomes sapient, and the Goonies get their gold. You know the feeling, the one that makes every challenge seem surmountable and triumph is only something you have to remember. Everyone loves a 'Comeback.'
