The Magician has been captivating listeners with his monthly Magic Tapes for the past couple years. After departing for his form partnership as the second half of Aeroplane in 2010, the Magician, aka Stephen Fasano, embarked on a journey to showcase his remixing skills, first gaining recognition for his rework of Lykke Li's "I Follow Rivers" in 2011. Since then, Fasano has gone on to curate his monthly mixes (aka Magic Tapes) which have introduced listeners to his ability to scour the planet for new unheard talent.

Over the years, The Magician has gained a serious following for his ability to craft exclusive content for his sets, sprinkling in his own remixes and original outputs as he fine- tunes his production skills. Back in June followers received one of each, a remix and an original, courtesy of Magic Tape 43, which opened with his remix of Mausi's "My Friend Has a Swimming Pool" before meeting his latest original release "Sunlight" featuring the Years & Years lead vocalist Olly Alexander.

"Sunlight" which will be the first official release on The Magician's newly formed label, Potion, is due out September 28, alongside remixes from Watermat, Darius and Blonde. Today EARMILK is bringing listeners, Blonde's rendition of the tune ahead of its release. Keeping the long build-up intact, the duo made up of Bristol-natives Adam Englefield and Jake Manson, slowly lead into a more garage-inspired production. Crafting a track that is ready for the dark dance floors rather than the sunny beaches, Blonde transform "Sunlight" by incorporating a breakdown of a jittering baseline, additional hi-hats and soothing synths, creating rendition that keeps your head bobbing.
