The weekend has come and gone, and now you're deep into your weekly grind. Never fear, Wobble Wednesday is back with more of your favorite face-melting bass drops to help you make the most of your mundane lifestyle. Today I'll be guiding you along through the many variations of bass music that we see these days, new and old. I wanted to turn the Wobble Wednesday feature into more than just a section for today's dubstep, so I decided it was only right to incorporate some drum & bass as well as an oldies section into the weekly feature.

You'll be hearing amazing bass-driven tunes from the softer, chiller side of dubstep to the filthy, grimier side that everybody loves to rage to. I'll also dip into the world of drum & bass as well as add some classic tunes from the 'golden age' of dubstep. All I ask from you guys is to enjoy and download. Once the weekend hits, steal the iPod at the party and throw on these songs. Guarantee it will make the place jump!

BASS

This week is like my own personal haven of dubbed out tunes. It seems like all the big names are dropping new tracks this week. CRNKN has been pushing out new tracks recently at lightning speed, messing around with some trapstep and pure dubstep. The "Obedear" remix is easily one of his best remixes to date. We've waited a good long while to hear something new from Adventure Club and it finally came with "Wait." I won't bore you guys too much about this one since Dranoel said everything that already needed to be said.

FILTH

This has to be from top to bottom, one of the best weeks for filthy dubstep in a long time. I'm going to start off by introducing a brand new Skream tune called "Inhumane." It has that familiar UK bass vibe with a heavy gritty guitar-like bass line. Also released this week was the highly anticipated Knife Party – Rage Valley EP which I included the self-titled track into the mix. Try not to skip over any of these tracks, there are some serious treats in here, including brand new Trolley Snatcha and something from Bro Safari & Knuckle Children.

OLDIES

When I first heard this Evil Nine track, "Technology," I thought "Shit, this song is nearly 9 minutes long!?" It honestly does not even feel like 9 minutes when you're listening, seriously I listened to it three times over. That's nearly thirty minutes of my life spent listening to one song. It has the old school bass lines and garage beats. The way the song weaves in and out of its breaks makes it seem like your just listening to a perfectly mixed UK bass set.

DRUM & BASS

Any time there's a new Netsky track releasing this week, you know it's a good time for drum & bass music. Not only has Netsky dropped something new, but some other heavy hitters in the DnB game as well. 501 comes in with a Nelly Furtado remix, and probably biggest of all is the release of Delta Heavy's brand new EP which I included the track "Make It Rain."

CHILL

Sound Remedy is nothing new to the indie music remix game. This time he goes over one of my all time favorite indie tracks (easily overplayed these days, but still amazing) "The Funeral" by Band of Horses. This remix keeps the basic melody and vocals of the original, and the subtle glitchy bass and a touch of some orchestral sound. Mt. Eden has slowly been pushing out amazing bass heavy, chilled out tracks as of late. "I'll Be There For You" has a great build up and the drop does not disappoint with the ever ranging synth bass chords.
