Today's delivery is brought to you by Rocket Juice & The Moon. This super group consists of: Damon Albarn(Gorillaz), Tony Allen(Nigerian drummer and long time producer for Fela Kuti) & Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers). And, although the band was first announced in 2008; their first official self titled album didn't drop til March of this year. Now, I'm sure just having Damon involved in the project really help bring it together since he is so used to discolorations while doing work with Gorillaz. A few tracks on this album have small bits of what you might expect but really it's more of a pleasant surprise because of the contributions of Tony Allen and the obvious African influences. The track I'm bringing to you today isn't a good example of the African roots but it's a perfectly toned down track featuring Damon's slightly haunting vocals.
