Marcus D – "Forest Interlude" (Remix)

Beat maker Marcus D (one half of the jazz-hop duo Bop Alloy) demonstrates time and time again exactly why his 2010 debut collaboration album with Maryland MC Substantial was so well received by fans of the genre. The consistency in his beats is one of his strong points; he is able to compile a range of jazz guitars, horns, keys & drums and create serene, sedate & soothing music.

The Seattle native displays his ability once again by sampling music from a Super Nintendo video game Donkey Kong Country 2; then proceeds adds layer upon layer of sound to create a much fuller listening experience. A perfect tune to unwind to.
