NYC-born and raised rock band Quarters return with a two-track single pack, “HEADLIGHT” and “PERFECT WORD”—songs that are immediately stirring and impossible to ignore, demanding that you stop what you’re doing and truly listen.
With a clear sense of determination and belief in their musical vision, Quarters have already shared the stage with acts like Two Door Cinema Club, The Band Camino, and Bad Suns.
The band’s experience shows: they are seasoned alt-rock musicians who deeply care about the energy they create, both with one another and with their audience.
“Perfect Word” explores the cost of precision and honesty, leading with tasteful guitar lines and a clean, straightforward vocal delivery.
Lyrics like, “I’ve been seeking out the perfect word / And every time it just breaks apart,” capture the tension of searching for clarity while never quite reaching resolution.
In contrast, “Headlight” leans fully into underground rock grit, channeling an experimental edge, unrestrained fervor, and raw, unpredictable energy. It’s the kind of track that demands multiple listens, revealing new textures and intensity each time you return to it.
Originally jamming together as childhood friends, Attila Anrather (drums), Jasper Harris (guitars, bass, synths), and Ben Roter (vocals) built their chemistry on trust and shared creativity, forged during high school days spent breaking into music classrooms after hours. That foundation of camaraderie and instinct is still at the core of Quarters’ sound today.
Quarters is currently gearing up for their North American Headline Tour with support from artists including Porch Light, Charlie Burg, Telescreens, and more, which will include two consecutive plays at NYC’s Irving Plaza, their biggest feat to date.
