UK-born, globally renowned producer James Hype is no stranger to pushing boundaries, but his next show might just rewrite the rulebook for what live music can mean. This November, he will bring his explosive SYNC show from Hï Ibiza to Bristol Beacon for a world-first charity concert with every ticket sold directly funding the building of micro-homes for people experiencing homelessness.
The event, BillyChip Live, lands on Saturday, November 22, 2025, marking one of only two UK dates for Hype this year, with tickets starting at just £27.50 via Bristol Beacon.“What if your rave built a home?” Hype says. “I’m proud to support BillyChip Live—it’s an honour to headline a night that’s doing more than entertaining.”
The idea is simple but groundbreaking: party hard, change lives. Every ticket purchased helps fund the construction of three new micro-homes in Bristol through local charity Help Bristol’s Homeless. The project is spearheaded by the creators of BillyChip®, the award-winning initiative that reinvented how people can support rough sleepers by creating a token system redeemable for food and drink. With BillyChip Live, that same ethos hits the stage, inviting fans, venues, and artists to ‘chip in’ towards permanent housing solutions.
“This is a new blueprint for what live music can achieve,” says Jack Gascoigne, Director of Comms at BillyChip. “With James Hype on board, we’re proving your night out can help someone get their life back.” Of course, this wouldn’t be James Hype without a little spectacle. SYNC is the AV-heavy experience at the core of his Hï Ibiza residency and is more than just a DJ set. Every sound, every drop, every visual cue is perfectly locked, turning the room into a fully immersive, 360-degree rush of energy. For Bristol Beacon, it’s another moment to flex its recently redeveloped performance spaces, designed to hold everything from symphonies to sweaty, bass-heavy raves.
Todd Wills, Programme Director at the Beacon, puts it best: “This night really demonstrates the versatility of our spaces. We’ve had DJs like Annie Mac and producers like Max Cooper push the boundaries here. Partnering with BillyChip and James Hype on this highly original concept is both exciting and important.”
The human impact is just as powerful. Jasper Thompson, founder of Help Bristol’s Homeless, says: “This is about hope, opportunity and community all rolled into one. These homes change lives. Thanks to BillyChip Live, we’ll be able to give more people a safe place to begin again.”
The show is backed by long-time BillyChip partner Flutter International, with further acts and programming still to be revealed. For now, though, one thing’s certain: Bristol’s about to witness a night where the dancefloor matters just as much outside the venue as it does inside.
