San Francisco, CA – As brands continue to seek creative new ways to engage with festival-goers each year, Gray Whale Gin is set to make a splash at this year’s Outside Lands Music Festival with its immersive #OceanLove Experience. The brand, known for its commitment to ocean conservation and sustainable practices, transformed a vintage VW bus into a pop-up bar, offering festivalgoers an earnest taste of California and a deeper connection to the environment.

"Gray Whale Gin is deeply rooted in the California lifestyle," shared Justin Miller, Vice President of Spirits Marketing at Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits in an exclusive interview with EARMILK. "Gray Whale Gin is all about that active California lifestyle, and we say it tastes like California in a glass. The brand was even first concepted not too far away in Big Sur, so Northern California is home…Outside Lands perfectly aligns with our brand values of sustainability and enjoying good times responsibly."

Situated within the beach adjacent Golden Gate Park, the #OceanLove Experience will look to extend beyond serving up refreshing cocktails to festival goers and capture the unmatched beauty of the waves coming in from the coast. An immersive tunnel is set to showcase the magnificence of the ocean and the importance of conservation through captivating visuals and sounds. This activation, aimed to evoke the "Blue Mind Effect," is a scientific concept highlighting the positive impact of water on mental and physical well-being.

Gray Whale Gin's dedication to sustainability is something they hope to celebrate with Bay Area fans. From the sustainably sourced botanicals to the recyclable materials used at the festival activation, the company is striving to set a new standard for other companies to take note in promoting to minimize environmental footprints.

“We're thrilled to share our passion for ocean conservation with festivalgoers in such a fun and engaging way,” Miller added as a portion of every bottle sold benefits Oceana, a leading ocean conservation organization. “The #OceanLove campaign is more than just a marketing initiative; it's a commitment to protecting our planet.”

We agree, there's nothing wrong with being able to have a drink while helping save the environment!
