Rising South African singer-songwriter who goes by the moniker The Colour caught our attention with his style of Dark R&B/hiphop infused musical style. Inspired by OVO artists such as Drake, PartyNextDoor and The Weeknd, The Colour brings a refreshing candour to the tracks he puts out. His latest release "Bad to the Bone" is a chilling, unfiltered track that details his ominous character who is trying to make a name for himself as he weaves through the detractors and naysayers. Over the melancholic and atmospheric soundscape made up of moody pads, solemn synths and sparse downtempo drums, The Colour's airy vocals float seamlessly with an eerie touch. His lyrics are prophetic and graphic as he warns the audience of his eventual arrival.
