TYDL are an exciting new duo out of Brighton, UK. Their new single, “Ethereal” is their debut release, marking the beginning of a very exciting journey for the duo and also introducing their upcoming EP. Fronted by the charismatic Rebecca and bolstered by the rhythmic prowess of percussionist Jack, TDYL are on the path to unleash an auditory storm, as they captivate listeners with what they’ve labeled as “villan energy.”
“Ethereal” takes you into the psyche of an individual consumed by a love interest. The potency of their emotions becomes so overwhelming, that they hold the lover in a spell, in order to never let them go. Rebecca explains, “The song is really about how we all have a part of us that can’t be controlled and we need to accept that and use it to our advantage.”
True to its title, the song exudes an ethereal essence, where haunting melodies, rumbling basslines and delicate, twinkling synths hold you in its enchanting atmosphere. The impressive debut release leaves us imagining what else this duo has up their sleeves, as we patiently wait for the next installment.
