Joey Golden and Jonathan UniteUs are known as Tha Joint., a moniker that ties into their favourite things in life be it, a song, strain of herb or food and whatnot. Both NY-based artists have a combined collection of 15 projects from 2012 till date and are currently working on new music.
Their latest release "Hotbox," is the lead single from their upcoming project titled GAME 4 and it sets the tone for what is to come. Backed by the moody and somewhat zany soundscape provided by Bon Jordy. Both emcees proceed to share their thoughts on their favourite herb while being stuck in a hotbox filled with an abundance of smoke. The backdrop's off-kilter and moody atmosphere sure sets the perfect canvas for Joey and Jonathan to paint vivid tales of a communal high.
The duo also gift us with one of their older releases titled "Wraps" and sees them going back to the traditional NY boom-bap vibe. The production has a solid drum groove and sombre and somewhat dusty texture all underpinned by Joey and Jonathan's stylish flow and bravado-driven lyricism.
