UK indie-pop artist Bryony Dunn has released her vibrant and melancholic single, "Purified". The track is a preview of her highly anticipated EP, Spring In The City, set to be released on August 4th.
Drawing influence from the harmony-rich sounds of 70s icons like Fleetwood Mac and modern inspirations like The 1975, Bryony combines pop sensibilities with inventive musicality, resulting in a unique and accessible yet subtly alternative sound. "Purified" showcases Bryony's artistic prowess, with elegant melodies and layered vocal harmonies floating above a lush electronic soundscape. The track builds with breezy atmospheres, spacious reverbs, swelling synths, and deep bass, culminating in an explosive climax.
Bryony describes the inspiration behind "Purified," stating: “Purified grew from a conversation with my dear friends Grace Jackson and Taka George about a friend of mine who was struggling to let go of the things that were getting them down. The song flowed out of us and became about our own experiences and the experiences of our friends, reassuring each other that life is pure and good at the heart of it. We all need to let go of the darkness we carry, through dancing all night, through swimming with friends in a cold river, through dmc's late at night on the kitchen floor.”
Currently pursuing a Masters in Songwriting and Audio Production at Tileyard London, Bryony has already made a mark in the industry with over 540,000 streams and support from Radio X, BBC Introducing, and Spotify Editorial Playlists. She has shared the stage with renowned artists such as Ramin Karimloo and Martha Tilston.
