Lauren Waller unveils her electro-pop LP debut "Talking To Myself"

Lauren Waller's debut album Talking to Myself is a soulful and introspective collection of songs that showcase her impressive vocal range and songwriting skills. With a mix of ballads and upbeat tracks, Waller takes listeners on a journey through her personal experiences and emotions.

Waller's music is a refreshing blend of indie, alternative, and pop styles that combine to create an intoxicating and bittersweet sound. With a forward-thinking approach to songwriting, Waller's music is full of playful invention, swagger, lyricism, introspection, and theatricality. Her ability to craft luminous dreamy pop tracks and catchy dance songs is impressive, but it's her emotionally generous storytelling and distinctive voice that truly sets her apart from the rest. Hermusic serves as an antidote to the mundane, delivering a unique and exciting listening experience.

Throughout the release the lyrics are often poetic and introspective, as she brings her true self to center stage. The emotional intensity  sets the tone for the entirety of the album.

The release showcases Waller's versatility as a singer. With pop-infused sounds, mixed with electro pop beats and, she still retains the emotional depth throughout. The choruses are catchy and memorable, which are delivered within every song.

Comprised of 13 infectious and memorable tracks, many will be familiar favorites to listeners. These include the dark and brooding "Dopamine" with its synthpop vibes, the upbeat and bubbly "Nothing But Life" in the bedroom pop genre, and the energetic urban-inspired dance track "Best Coast." In addition to these, Waller also introduces into the mix songs such as the catchy pop tune "Green Eyed Jealousy," the light and airy "Chapstick," and the dance and electronic-infused "Backseat," among others.

Throughout the album, Waller's lyrics are honest and introspective, exploring themes of love, loss, and self-discovery. Her voice is the standout feature of the album, with its range and emotive power impressing throughout. The production on the album is also top-notch, with a mix of  instrumentation that complements Waller's vocals perfectly.

Lauren Waller’s Talking to Myself is a powerful and emotive debut album from the artist. The release showcases her impressive vocal range and songwriting skills as she shows no signs of slowing down.
