Richmond, Virginia-based rapper Fly Anakin is as prolific as they come and with multiple releases and collaborations with heavy weights with acts like Madlib, Freddie Gibbs, and Evidence, he's built a concrete reputation as one of the illest emcees thus far. Aside from his solo projects, he is also the co-founder of the Richmond rap collective Mutant Academy and presently he is working on a joint project with producer Foisey entitled  Skinemaxxx (Side A), and it comes with the new single "Suppression."

The latest track is the third and final single from the project and it's another showcase of braggadocio bars underpinned by introspective thoughts that range between pain, nostalgic memories and letting out held-back grievances. Fly Anakin goes off the handle and gets candid as possible with lines like "told me I was way too loud, I start suppressing shxt, mummy chose the rock over power we got the deficit/brother gave me game that was solid, I got to represent/Sister in the pen, she was sour so F**k the government", listeners get to feel his pain and know exactly where he is coming from.

The accompanying visual directed by Noah Porter blends a large dose of performance shots of Fly Anakin and his crew and homemade clips of his younger self and his family.

Following the release of  Skinemaxxx (Side A), Anakin is joining YUNGMORPHEUS on a co-headlining US tour kicking off on May 31st in Atlanta. The tour will stretch across 6 dates, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, and a night at Public Records in Brooklyn.
