Rising Toronto rapper and songwriter Minty Burns burst through the music scene in 2018 with his single "Dab Man" which garnered a huge buzz on the Instagram platform and even inspired the #DabManChallenge which raised his profile. He then went on to work with Lil Duke (of YSL fame) on a banger titled "Smoke Alone" and released his last album Money to Burn, which saw him collaborating with artists such as the legendary Petey Pablo and $tupid Young.
Currently Minty is working on a new project but in the interim, he shares the song "Moon" which also comes with a superbly zany and playful visual. The track produced by Minty Burns and FMLSS is a mellow and dreamy track that sees Minty in his element as he details the many things he uses to get away from the craziness of the world. Armed with a nonchalant and unassuming persona, he flows with a lazy cadence over the beat with lines like "Driving round the city with the gas lights on/ Windows foggy cos the gas so strong". The visuals are a mixed bag of clips that show Minty getting lit in the literal sense with his crew and a stuffed panda who seems to be his mascot. He is joined by two ladies and an unknown individual who might be his right-hand man.
Minty is now preparing for his upcoming project, Welcome to Springfield, a full-length album in collaboration with South Korean producer Cherry Beats.
