"Uncool Kid" is the latest entry in Christopha's fortnight release and showcases the rapper's knack for graphic storytelling akin to legends like Slick Rick, Nas et al. He makes use of a sombre and dreamy soundscape made up of lush textures that exude lo-fi elements. He takes us back to the start as a young kid growing up in London and slowly learning the ways of a world where nothing is given and the temptation of peer pressure and wanting to fit in can lead one astray. Lines like "My potential forever stay hidden in the darkness/Where it's all about money, who's the hardest, where it's uncool to show off any smartness" bring listeners close to the action with relatable themes that young people can easily latch on to.
"Uncool Kid" is the fourth release from Christopha's 26 Miles and Running project, where he is releasing a song every 2 weeks in 2023, resulting in a total of 26 tracks.
