The Voice contestant Aaron Hines started out playing drums at a young age and learned multiple instruments while growing up. He discovered he could sing after winning an 8th-grade talent show and never looked back. He recently participated in the 21st season of the award-winning talent show The Voice and was on singer Kelly Clarkson's team. His latest single "Chocolate Covered" is a laidback funk-infused R&B love record reminiscent of the '80s, roller skating jams. The production is flawless and takes elements from funk-laden bass lines, lush synth stabs and rich textures that are all underpinned by Aaron's soft and sultry melodic runs that see him pouring adulation on his girl. Armed with a knack for vivid songwriting, lines like "Beautiful chocolate skin dark brown eyes/ Wanna be my chocolate-covered baby-baby/ Cherry based, Sweeter than the darkest fruit" further reinforce that notion.
Aaron Williams and Christopher Joyce signed Aaron Hines to 2Cool Productions in 2010. He then became a part of a label roster that featured the stellar nominated gospel rap duo Crane & A-1 and the performer Hoze Millionaire. He was also part of several projects, including Messiah Muzik 1 and 2, two legendary mixtapes. Aaron has also collaborated with Canton Jones, a gospel musician nominated for a Grammy and a Stellar Award.
