San Francisco emcee Fego Navarro recently teamed up with Bay Area brethren Dela Paz and Mali Q on Time Wonderland. The two-track EP features an alluring combination of stellar production, introspective lyrics, and fire refrains that will occupy your noggin for a cool minute.
Time Wonderland kicks off with "Lost and Found," a gloomy but hopeful track in which Fego, Dela, and Mali try to make sense of their daily struggles using three distinctly different flows. The B-side, "Memories," closes the EP with aplomb as the trio of spitters skate over a sumptuous beat and reminisce about loved ones who've passed on. Overall, the tape is an impressive appetizer that packs more depth than some of its full-length counterparts.
Time Wonderland is the follow-up to Fego's "Café con Leche" video. Last November, we covered the video for "Late Night," another Fego joint. It remains to be seen what else Fego, Dela, and Mali have planned, but the next drop should be a gem.
