Anuka's latest release "21 Days" is a heartfelt and honest look at committing to the wrong person in a relationship.
Anuka is a multi-faceted artist from the Netherlands. She is a songwriter/singer and producer whose style of music is a blend of R&B/soul and she also records and masters her music. The self-produced record is ripe with bright keys, lush textures, and punchy drums that match Anuka's commanding melodic runs and unapologetic look at unreciprocated love and how we all suffer silently if nothing is done. Anuka takes the charge here, pours her frustrations on wax, and gathers the courage to break her partner's hold for the sake of her own mental health.
The record is quite rivetting and even though the subject matter is a bit serious, Anuka's soft and sultry vocals take precedence while the bright soundscape helps lift up the mood as well.
"21 Days" is taken from Anuka's forthcoming album Hard Work, scheduled for release sometime in June of this year.
