Rising East Coast lyricist Lady London recently put out her project Lady Like: The Boss Tape and now unveils a new video for her song "Lisa's Story." The record flips Foxy Brown’s “Get Me Home” instrumental and sees Lady London teaming up with Harlem rapper Dub Aura and Bronx rapper Maliibu Miitch for a gripping record that details a love triangle gone deadly. Lady London plays the titular character of Lisa who meets Dub Aura's character name Money and a short fling ensues. Lady London sure exudes that classic '90s NYC vibe with her vivid storytelling, smooth flow and to top it off, she and Maliibu Miitch (who plays the character Dior) perform an impeccable back and forth rap conversation that is undeniable. Dub Aura adds his own touch to the song as he breaks down his current love situation while trying to get Lady London to hang with him.
Visually, director Oni Honesty helps bring the song to life with the creative assistance of Lady London herself. The visual makes use of flashbacks, seamless cut scenes, and a gripping storyboard to deliver a modern romance/tragedy tale that takes listeners on a roller-coaster of emotions for the tantalizing narrative.
