Chi-town's new champion Ramaj Eroc's latest release "I Was Never Loved" is an emotionally gripping new hip-hop single that tackles betrayal, toxic relationships, and the aftermath of it all. It is often said that men tend to bottle up their emotions due to social constructs of being a real man but Ramaj breaks that mold and expresses himself fully. He addresses the emotional turmoil of being the recipient of toxic love and reflects on the fact that she probably never loved him to begin with. Over the somber soundscape crafted by Brandon Mild, he pours his all and looks back with pain in his lines like " I was framed, You told the world I was insane/ And said my emotions were unrestrained?."
The music video was shot by Lauren Holloway and Ramaj himself using a single long performance shot. They keep things simple and straight to the point allowing viewers to really hone in on the rapper's evocative lyrics and emotive performance.
