Breakups are never easy. They can be even harder though when one side feels like they never received the proper closure they needed. Some would question though if having closure is even necessary. Rising songstress Chandni explores this concept in her latest release aptly titled “Closure”. With eclectic, jazzy arrangements and sassy, soulful vocals, this infectious track is truly innovative and fresh. She passionately sings, “I need closure/half my mind is keeping me closer/half my mind is telling me to run, run, run, run,” and it's impossible not to be sucked right in.
The 22-year-old British Indian artist fuses R&B, soul, and jazz to create a dazzling sound that's uniquely her own. Her debut single “Eye to Eye” was a contribution to a collaborative project titled ‘Songs From Our Rooms’. But “Closure” possesses that same rich, colorful quality that fans were first introduced to and more. Of this latest release, she shares, ‘This track started out with a simple question to my friends and family: “do you believe in closure?” – With all the stories I absorbed over time, ‘Closure’ was created in representation of a midpoint that many of us have fallen victim to at least once."
