As Brooklyn-based producer, maticulous preps his new LP no caps, due out this fall, he teams up with Detroit emcee Guilty Simpson for the lead single titled "Home Goin' " A dark, menacing track that captures Simpson's vivid storytelling prowess as he weaves a tale of a neighborhood viewing of a pimp/player’s funeral. Bolstered by the snapping drum groove, crunchy snares, and moody textures, Simpson takes the listener deep into the funeral procession of a neighborhood OG and introduces us to the cast of characters who have come to pay their last respects. From the various baby mamas, fellow pimps with hidden agendas, young OGs, to closet adversaries who are glad about the OG's demise, Simpson runs through the gamut of emotions and then some. The tension is thicker than coagulated sewage and at any moment, things could go left.
