Award-winning German singer/songwriter Diana Ezerex has dropped her third single titled "I Don't Stop." The record is a mix of genres and from first listen we hear a seamless fusion of R&B, soul, pop, and some hip-hop elements. The production courtesy of Thorsten Rheinschmidt is punchy and has an entrancing texture made up of pulsating basslines, lush riffs, and keys that sit perfectly with Ezerex's gruff vocals.
"I Don't Stop" is an anthem for not quitting, despite all the odds stacked against you. Ezerex revisits all the tribulations and situations that aim to bring her down, but ultimately couldn't, as she is determined not to let anything stop her from working for the good of everyone around her. Her performance is enthralling as she seamlessly fuses gripping melodies with distinct hip-hop swag steeped in the spirit of an old soul.
The singer has been performing charity concerts in prisons since 2017 and recently decided to write about prison-related topics for her upcoming debut LP. The project tackles a wide range of topics such as systemic oppression, social injustices faced by inmates of the German prison system, and to some extent mental health for both inmates and ex-cons who are trying to walk their way back into the larger society.
"I Don't Stop" is her final single release before her debut LP My Past's Gravity, which will be released on June 25, 2021.
