Miami and Chicago collide for the new single from Florida’s very own TikTok sensation Calica and Illinois’ viral singer-songwriter and producer Daniel Loumpouridis. The two have created the sweet and intoxicating new single “Don’t”—a track that delves into relationship rules and the beauty of boundaries.

Calica’s ethereal vocals float delicately atop sweeping synths and haunting backing vocals. Creating a celestial atmosphere, “Don’t” shimmers with colorful, electronic melodies and fast-paced beats. The track almost feels otherworldly, with its animated nature and galactic sounds. The hypnotizing song succeeds in demonstrating both artists skills, with Calica’s laid-back, effortless voice bringing a feeling of ease to a subject which may otherwise seem overwhelming. Loumpouridis sleek and polished production shows off his knack for adding some extra pizzazz and those perfect finishing touches.

Of the new track, Loumpouridis shares, "Don’t" is about finally drawing boundaries – being able to draw a line in the sand both for you and for someone else," with Calica adding, "This song is about creating something that is healthy for you regardless of what the other person is trying to get you to do."

We can only hope that the two will unite again and bring us another banger to brighten our lives.
