Birmingham born Manchester-based artist, composer and musician Dominic Lawson teams up with producer Andre Hutchinson for his new release titled "Wrap." Influenced by the classic sounds of R&B legends such as Black Street, Boyz II Men, Lawson bridges the old with his own unique contemporary style. Over the lush engulfing backdrop he details the raging emotions of longing for a loved one as their relationship blossoms.
Lawson explained to us via email that "Wrap" came about during a random conversation with a friend about the challenges of being single as a 20 something-year-old and how the dating scene is tough. "Wrap" is the first of two singles that Lawson will be released as a precursor to his debut solo EP and first-ever solo UK tour, which is scheduled for the autumn. He will also be launching the single with two special live shows in Manchester, backed by his 12-piece band The Thunder, on February 13 and February 26, the latter of which is supported by the MOBO Awards’ Help Musicians Fund.
