Shon Weathers wraps up 2019 with the visuals for his previously released single titled "Mine." The song is Weathers' rap version of the mantra Know Thy Self and the joys of finally embracing himself. The track produced by beatsinmybackpack has a laid back vibe but somewhat heavy drums to match Weathers' calm delivery as he admits his flaws and owns them. He takes it a step further in the visuals where he decides not to conform to the status quo and opts for the less-traveled path.
Shot and edited by Montel Visuals and Trace respectively, the video shows Weathers shedding the envy of someone else's life and embracing his own creative being. From being shackled by social constructs, opinions by others, the rapper seeks to find his voice. The scene where he burns his clothing probably symbolizes his emancipation from those shackles holding him back from being great. The visual ends with him acknowledging his true self as he says on the hook "…some be thinking its wack, but regardless what u thinkin it aint changin the fact…"
