Rad Cat is a force to be reckoned with in both hip-hop and electronic music scenes. The 23-year-old first-generation Mexican-American producer has already built up a strong resume with production and remix credits with acts including, Blackbear, Enrique Iglesias, Kevin Gates and more. Summer is here, and the San Diego-based artist just kicks off his summer run of singles set with the first release, "alright," featuring Dutch Melrose.
Thanks to its echoing synth scales and vibrant urban rhythm, "alright" gracefully showcases Rad Cat's hip-hop take on electronic. The alluring melody allows listeners to pay close attention to Melrose's sultry vocals. Each layer of sound is carefully placed, creating a contemporary soundscape covered by a tapestry of rich emotion.
The sonic authenticity is a reflection of the organic creative process. "It’s not always that you work with someone and immediately the music starts to flow; but that is exactly what this is a product of," Rad Cat notes.
