Alex Cameron is back on our radar once again, baby. This is the first we've heard of Cameron since the release of his last album Forced Witness back in 2017 and we couldn't be more thrilled. The Australian-indie artist teamed up with his girlfriend, actress Jemima Kirke (most notable for her role in the HBO show Girls), to direct and star in his new lush and lusty music video for his single "Miami Memory."
Cameron says, “‘Miami Memory’ is a story about how we audition in the present for our future selves to enjoy in retrospect. In that way, tender memories that we share together are captured in thought and stored with the same electricity that keeps our heart beating.”
He focuses on themes of sex positivity and reflection. The lyrics and video are a tasteful ode to the magic city, as he explores his relationship to the place and in love. Rocking some seriously 70s suits, he gabs about a series of sensual experiences and dirty talk. The duo have an undeniable sultry and whimsical chemistry. They are truly a treat to watch together on screen.
Cameron has also announced a fall North American and European tour. North American tickets will be on sale this Friday, May 10th at 10am (local time).
