Hailing from New York, electronic duo Local Dialect has kicked off a huge 2019, with previous release "Magna" on Somatic's Underground Frequencies Vol. 2. Consequently, securing a Beatport top 10 in the Progressive House Hype chart. Making a powerful debut on Gorgon City's imprint Realm, they are proud to present their latest cosmic techno record, appropriately titled "Poseidon."
A progressive dance floor weapon at its core, "Poseidon" starts off with a deceptively smooth intro that immediately builds up gloomy atmospherics. Rugged basslines and echo-y vocals are later introduced to invite us to experience the delicate vigour. When the mesmerizing beats and majestic synths finally kick in, we are hit by a huge electrical storm under the cosmic climate. The cut is unassuming and unnerving, yet the underlying groove in the main motif is utterly sublime.
Sam Perricone and Reed Tan crossed paths during college, later becoming the duo now known as Local Dialect. As exemplified in "Poseidon," their releases are produced with dexterity. Besides a slew of stellar records on Euphonic Visions, Somatic Records and Key+Needle, they have also provided remixes for the likes of Nora En Pure and Lane 8.
