Grammy-nominated producer Nic Fanciulli joins Rekids with two thumping cuts entitled Understand. Highly regarded for holding residencies in some of the biggest super clubs in the world like Ibiza’s former super-club Space and Pacha, as well as curating his own legendary festival/party series The Social, the longstanding British DJ is a nominal techno force of consistently high quality, original releases. Understand, notably reinforces his reputation and is a welcome addition to his ever-growing discography.
Title track "Understand", opens the release with submarine-like bleeps chiming over an enigmatic voice repeating its namesake. Fanciulli's mastery of production shines through with the growling bass, one that dives deep beneath a thundering drum groove for a delectable moody sensation. On the flipside, "Where U At" features mesmerizing vocal cries that flutter between upbeat stabs and bouncy percussion, expertly bolstering a driving low end for a tribal-influenced groove.
