Pelicandy give the "Silent Treatment" in latest synth-pop single

London-based trio Pelicandy have dropped their third single "Silent Treatment" and it's not something to be kept silent about. This serves as the beginning of all the new content the band has promised for 2019. "Silent Treatment" dives into the groovier side of the band with an interesting swing beat running throughout. But the band continues to demonstrate their ability to write mesmerizing melodic hooks, clearly demonstrated in the chorus. The falsetto backing vocals on top of the dreamy synths gives the impression that you're floating on air.

Lead singer TC Beecham is not hiding behind any arrays of synths as his vocals shine clearly through. At about two and a half minutes into the song everything cuts out except for Beecham and the electric piano. It is just a couple of seconds, but there is something raw and real felt when he sings "If you give me the silent treatment know when to stop, but I don't expect you to see things the way that I do."

When asked about their upcoming single, the band stated: “Silent Treatment could be a song about a failure to communicate in a relationship, dismissing others over political differences, or soundproofing your home. But it’s really a song about listening."

Expect to hear more from Pelicandy in the next coming months. If this single is any indication of what is to come from the band, then we can expect even greater things.
