Award-winning music development organization Urban Development (UD) has teamed up with Association Of Independent Music (AIM), PRS For Music, Reprezent Radio among others for this year's Industry Take Over All Dayer, taking place in London’s Kings Pace on Saturday, February 23. UD is set to gather the best new and emerging artists and musicians for a showdown in one of the country’s biggest open mic events, the Industry Take Over Open Mic session. The big prize that awaits the lucky winner will be a chance to perform at one of the UK’s biggest festivals of the year, The Great Escape in Brighton in May
The longstanding annual competition, which has been carefully cultivated by Urban Development over the years returns on a high note with top industry experts and A&Rs on deck to watch the emerging acts slug it out on stage. Luminaries such as Universal Music’s Adele White, Warner Records UK’s Jack Duckworth, Davina Merchant (Downtown Music Publishing) and others will be present to share their priceless experiences and insight throughout the All Dayer event.
Artists, rappers, singers, musicians, and bands can enter the Industry Take Over Open Mic competition by following Urban Development on Twitter or Instagram (@urbandevelopmnt) and upload a 60-second video of a rap freestyle or vocal performance, with the hashtag #IndustryTakeover. The best social media entries will then be invited to perform at the Open Mic session on Saturday, February 23, with the best performer going on to The Great Escape, taking the biggest step forward of their career.
