With features from Dave East, Don Q and more – Queensbridge’s Kiing Shooter is an up & coming artist backed by a natural growing fanbase, and after the release of this mixtape, he’s backed by the numbers as well. With no major label push at all and simply dropping the music on streaming platforms, Shooter’s tape was #148 on the Billboard 200 Charts.
“Fucc the Doubters” is a tape in which Shooter does just that – he holds his own and proves why he’s next up. Having a feature from a big name such as Dave East served as a good thing for Shooter. Both of their lyrical mastery and delivery balanced out one another – there was no overpowering.
A standout track on the project has to be “U Buggin’” – the production is somewhat eerie as Shooter recounts a personal narrative in both his tone and lyrics. He recounts dis-trust, risk and past encounters with women.
Shooter has masterfully figured out how to use his deep tone skillfully on all 9-tracks. The length of the project is just right as we get a more personal insight of Shooter's character.
There’s more to come from Kiing Shooter as his authenticity, drive and rise are to be applauded – definitely one to watch out for.
